AIH is a procedure in which a fine tube (catheter) is inserted inside the uterus to deposit sperm samples. The purpose of AIH procedure is to achieve fertilization and pregnancy.
When should AIH be considered?
- There are mild defects in the quality of semen due to low sperm movement, or slightly abnormal sperm structure
- In cases of infertility with unknown or hidden cause, such as patients whose conventional diagnostic tests have shown normal results
- In other situations like mild endométrioses, certain ovulation disorders, etc. where AIH can improve the chances of conception
