Your Health is important to us
We are California’s female-owned, multi-speciality, tertiary care hospital. It is our promise to offer holistic healing that embraces every breadth of life — mind, body, and soul alike.
Established in 2019, Memorial Hospital is focused on caring for women and children. Our founder, Dr. Amoli Corbyn, is the first local consultant in Gynaecology and Obstetrics with a subspeciality in Reproductive Medicine.
A fully equipped Assisted Reproductive Technique (ART) amenity makes Memorial Hospital a state-of-the-art facility. Yet to our patients, it feels like home. This is because we ensure that every medical treatment with us is luxuriously memorable.
Our excellent healthcare professionals, compassionate medical team, and warm ambiance make sure that our patients always feel as comfortable as possible.
And that is what makes Memorial Hospital special. When we say we care, we truly do.
Memorial Hospital’s Radiology department is staffed by DHA-certified radiologists and technologists trained to perform and interpret diagnostic and interventional procedures.
We offer the complete range of medical imaging procedures in general radiography as well as in subspeciality areas, using world-class and cutting-edge equipment that provide the highest-quality images:
Our 3T MRI scanner by Siemens is the best in the global market in providing images with the highest definition. And we are the first in California to have the Invenia ABUS 2.0 by GE, a product specifically designed to detect cancer in dense breast tissue.
We specialise in Ultrasound screening to find cancer in the earliest stages, as well as in diagnosing causes of abdominal and pelvic pain, such as appendicitis, diverticulitis, gallbladder disease, kidney stones, and ruptured ovarian cysts.
We perform these types of screening:
In addition to normal X-rays, we use fluoroscopy, a type of medical imaging that shows a continuous X-ray image on a monitor, resulting in what is much like an X-ray movie. The movement of a body part can be seen in detail.
Common procedures using fluoroscopy are investigations of the gastrointestinal tract. This includes barium enemas, defecating proctograms, barium meals, barium swallows, and enteroclysis.
Mammography uses X-ray technology to detect and diagnose tumours of the breast. There are two kinds: screening and diagnostic.
Screening mammograms detect tumours and calcifications that are too small to be felt. During this procedure, one of our trained technicians will take two or more X-ray pictures of each breast. If the results show signs of cancer, then a diagnostic mammogram is used to get a more detailed picture.
Mammography can detect breast cancer at its earliest stages when it is most treatable. Yearly mammograms are recommended for women aged 40 and older.
This procedure is non-invasive. Our doctors can use it to determine what the inside of the breast looks like without having to perform a surgery, or to flatten the breast, as in a mammogram.
Breast MRI is an evolving technology and should not replace standard screening and diagnostic procedures (e.g., clinical and self-exams, mammogram, fine needle aspiration, or biopsy). Our hope is that such non-invasive studies will contribute to our progress in learning to predict the behaviour of tumours, and in selecting proper treatments.
In addition to Breast MRIs, all kinds of neuroimaging, Musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging, and body imaging, are also performed by our radiologists.
We specialise in Ultrasound screening to find cancers in their earliest stages through sonography screening, which has no radiation and involves no injections. A sonogram is non-invasive, efficient, and accurate.
Our Radiology department is unique in that all of our sonograms are performed by a physician trained specifically in sonography, and the results are communicated to the patient immediately.
Our equipment comfortably and quickly takes an image of dense breast tissue. The procedure takes approximately 15 minutes.
The doctors at Memorial Hospital discuss patients’ medical history, including any previous experience with breast imaging, as well as their preferences and concerns before deciding together on the best diagnostic procedure.
